Help, treatment of Vitiligo| the journey, the battle, vitiligously true

A derma friend told me last year that even if i already look like Snow White, I still had big chances of regaining my pigments. She told me after my resigned disposition, my acceptance of doom (?) because I never even tried to treat it, (I was already 38 years old), I should at least give my best before giving up. And so I did at the time that both my feet were "clouded", both my hands, half my arm, half my face and all of my front neck and some little snowed-down ponds everywhere else, I started using Anti-Vitiligo Oil (about $100 on line) which i bought online which no expectations. Although she suggested the UVB exposure which was not in my budget (exposure at DermaClinic, SM, cost around P1000+ per session, and I think I needed 3 sessions a week), I opted to look for topical applications with natural sunlight.  I went to the altar of Anti Vitiligo.  I applied it religiously for 3 months but quit. After 6 months, after 5 hours of outdoor noontime swimming, boom! 7 brown spots landed on my neck like beautiful angels!  I heard chorus singing and felt a ray of hope shining down on me!

Just when I was starting the oil again, slowly the spots faded.

Then a derma-friend of mine gave me Tolenorm which had the same ingredients as AntiVitiligo Oil for free and promised repigmentation in 6 weeks, i hear the chorus again, after 6 weeks, indeed!  Sweet brown splatters kissed my hands, arms and neck!  Then I did both oils and below are pictures of what i got on my neck after 6 months!  After that, I had not just splatters but a group of brown spots, looking like a rebels invading snow from the sides! although, the splatters would sometimes disappear, especially when there was no sun (rainy season), the invading group stayed permanently.  (below are the after and before-use of oils).  (I promise to show pictures of my  invading rebels. Funny, but in a way, I am battling with the disorder.)  Till then. I hope this gives you a little perspective on the disorder.

This, I read years ago. Microskin. I know that it scans your body for your own perfect color and they formulate the spray liquid for you! It
uses airbrush. It is a solution to our often lack of color shade in foundation choices. HMmmm... another great reason to go to NEw York---that bustling place for great coffee, art and broadway!

Healing from within?

Here is something new. I've been healing my spots topically with oils (I shall discuss that next). I'm so happy ehen my new spots burst from everywhere! But the rate of loss is bigger than the rate of gain. More and more become white as very few become brown. Maybe, I lack the vitamins from the inside? It makes sense. I shall try this vitamin bottle providing Folic acid and vitamin B12. I'll see how it goes!

Fading from existence

How does it feel? As you traverse an vitiligotic life, you feel that as your pigments get paler, so does your identity, like a word being erased, or a  program losing signal.  You have a need to fight to be seen. You row the oars vigorously. You flap your wings to make noise, to call the attention of the physical superiors whose colors are defined.   The world laughs, parties and dance, while you fade into existence.  You call out. What can they see, when you are but a mist?
